About The Position

Responsible for performing general repairs and maintenance services throughout the district. This role involves working with various materials and tools to complete assigned duties proficiently and safely. The Maintenance Repairer may collaborate with other crafts for renovations and is expected to maintain daily records of materials used and work orders completed. The position requires the ability to detect and report maintenance issues to a supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 to 3 years of work experience
• Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., hammer, shovel, screwdriver)
• Proficiency with power tools (e.g., radial saw, reciprocating saw, drill, pneumatic hammer)
• Experience operating vehicles (e.g., automobile, truck, tractor, forklift)
• Ability to carry and/or lift 45 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Performs general repairs as needed throughout the school district and support facilities.
• Uses materials, equipment and all hand tools required to complete assigned duties proficiently and safely.
• May work with other crafts to complete repairs needed in regards to general renovations.
• Works with construction materials as needed for general repairs.
• Keeps daily records of materials used and fills out work orders assigned for the day; detects and reports repair and maintenance problems to supervisor.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
