About The Position

This role involves repairing vacant apartments, including plumbing, electrical, sheetrock, carpentry, and drainage repairs. The position also includes site work such as trimming tree limbs, sidewalk maintenance, and exterior building repairs like vinyl soffit, roofing, brickwork, and water leak repairs. The goal of the organization is to provide quality, safe, and affordable public housing to low and very low income residents.

Requirements

• Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to vacant apartments which include plumbing, electrical, sheetrock/drywall, carpentry, and drain stop ups with the use of proper tools to perform said task.
• Trimming of tree limbs, sidewalk maintenance, exterior building repairs such as vinyl soffit, roofing, brickwork, and water leak repairs.
