About The Position

Priefert is seeking a qualified maintenance technicians for our Mount Pleasant, TX. Location. RESPONSIBILITIES: Use of hand tools, such as hammers, saws, impacts, drills, wrenches and hoists. Maintenance of pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical drive systems. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. Work with tool room and purchasing to identify and order parts Work with production and department supervision to schedule equipment down time for repairs. Inspect gearboxes, drive shafts, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions following prewritten checklists. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment. Fill out detailed daily logs and work orders. Apply 5’s methods to tool carts, shop, parts storage areas and work area. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Understanding of industrial machinery and how it works.
Ability to determine safe and unsafe conditions and to adjust the situation to stay safe at all times.
Ability to keep a clean and organized maintenance shop, tool cart and work area.
Ability to use tool carts, aerial lifts, cranes and forklifts.
Ability to work on more than one task at a time.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
Ability to perform repetitive work.
Ability to work in a tight and confined space.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Maintains composure in stressful situations.
Reports to work on time and as scheduled.
