About The Position

In this role, you will oversee a small to medium group of hourly maintenance team members. Leads the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with standard GM maintenance systems. You will conduct appropriate checks and tests and communicates evaluation of results. Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions, Recommends solutions to problems, and meets schedule and quality requirements. This role is categorized as onsite, meaning the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location on a full-time basis. The selected candidate will be required to travel <25% for this role. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with standard GM maintenance systems.
  • Conduct appropriate checks and tests and communicate evaluation of results.
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions.
  • Recommend solutions to problems, and meet schedule and quality requirements.
  • Comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements.
  • Implement divisional and corporate policies.
  • Implement safety and good housekeeping practices.
  • Frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group.
  • Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment.
  • Participate in the selection of new employees.
  • Train, develop and evaluate employees.
  • Establish a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project.
  • Provide technical guidance for complex and unusual plant operations or projects.
  • Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts within assigned area.
  • Obtain a deep knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles.
