About The Position

Pinnacle Corrugated, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners and corrugated manufacturing industry leader, currently has an exciting opportunity available for Maintenance Purchasing Clerk in Landis, NC. The Maintenance Purchasing Clerk will assist the Purchasing Coordinator with the purchasing functions for the maintenance operations in accordance with established company standards. Responsible for maintaining records keeping of parts and supplies, inventory of fixed assets, parts and supplies used in the process of manufacturing corrugated sheets. Contacts vendors in the event that repairs are required on equipment under service contracts. Requirements

  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Must have clear, concise oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals, and contracts; write routine reports and correspondence; communicate effectively with all levels of the company from Management to Customers.
  • High School Diploma or GED; Two years of experience in purchasing and/or maintenance, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift/Clamp truck operator license.
  • Motor vehicle operator’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.
  • Create purchase orders for parts, materials and supplies in a timely manner using MVP CMMS.
  • Generate and install tags on all parts. Place parts in their designated locations using assistance from others and/or forklift if needed.
  • Maintain accountability of purchase orders, parts receivable, and all related documents for accounting.
  • Perform regular cycle counts on parts, maintaining accurate parts inventory.
  • Act as liason with contractors and vendors holding service contracts to schedule repairs.
  • Perform weekly inventory of consumables and production supply cabinets. Replenish items that have been used.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with all levels of the company including corporate, management, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Maintain accountability of service contracts and other important documentation in MVP and the plant share drive.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to calculate mathematical figures such as discounts, interest, percentages and net value.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Generate month end parts inventory reports for accounting in absence of Purchasing Coordinator.
  • Drive to pick up parts if needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
