About The Position

This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of various maintenance programs supporting the Maintenance Department. While a single Specialist will typically focus on specific responsibilities, the role encompasses a wide range, including analyst support for programs like Corrective Action Program (CAP) and self-assessments, managing department core functions such as inspection readiness and performance indicator updates, supporting various committees and programs, and acting as a business analyst for contract administration, budgets, and forecasting. The role also involves supporting special projects and potentially providing oversight of contract personnel. The Maintenance Program Specialist may also fulfill a duty team role and an Emergency Response Organization (ERO) position.

Requirements

  • Maintenance Program Specialist: Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience OR Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license with 2 years of related experience OR Associate's degree with 4 years of related experience OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of related experience.
  • Senior Maintenance Program Specialist: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience OR Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 5 years of related experience OR Associate’s degree with 7 years of related experience OR High school diploma/GED with 9 years of related experience.
  • Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated project financial controls experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of utility business and power plant equipment.
  • Knowledge of contract management and / or Asset Suite 9 (AS9) supply system.
  • Experience in financial budgeting, cost and/or project estimating experience in related industry.
  • 8 years of utility or related-industry experience (for Senior Maintenance Program Specialist).
  • Previous Corrective Action / Root Cause Analysis Training (for Senior Maintenance Program Specialist).

  • Knowledge of Contract Administration and Budget (for Senior Maintenance Program Specialist).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate completion of department core functions including inspection readiness, performance indicator generation, department website updates, oversight of Knowledge Transfer and Retention (KT&R) process, generation of department owned Plan of the Day (POD) material, program ownership (e.g., weld program, lifting and rigging), department training coordination, and support of department Management Review Meeting package.
  • Perform analyst functions for the department, including support of self-assessments and benchmarking, support for completion of Work Group Evaluations, support for the Organizational Readiness and Performance Improvement group with formal investigations, oversight for tracking and completion of department actions, and maintenance of department Performance Improvement Action Plans (PIAP's).
  • Support Clean Energy Center (CEC) committees and programs, such as the New Work Screening Committee, Maintenance Rule Expert Panel, Plant Operating Review Committee (PORC), Surveillance Frequency Change Program, Cyber Security Assessment Team, Safety Committee, Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) Committee, and Configuration Control Committee.
  • Perform Business Analyst functions for the department, including contract management (contract generation, invoices, Comprehensive Performance Assessments (CPA's)), development of budgets, tracking of department budgets, forecasting to support Business Operations, and support of Workforce Planning.
  • Support special projects as needed, including oversight of contract personnel.
  • Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
