About The Position

GovFirst is seeking to hire multiple Maintenance Program Managers to oversee supplemental maintenance staff and operations across Virginia in locations including Bristol, Culpeper, Fredericksburg, Hampton Roads, Lynchburg, Newport News, Norfolk, Richmond, Salem, Staunton, Suffolk, and Surry within the Transportation Operations Division. These managers will be responsible for ensuring staff proficiency, maintaining performance metrics, and supporting strategic maintenance planning.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Civil Engineering, or transportation/facility -related experience.
• Progressive experience managing one or more large maintenance contracts.
• Proven ability to keep programs on schedule and within budget while achieving performance goals.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams across multiple geographic locations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day -to -day activities of all supplemental maintenance staff to ensure work is performed to established standards.
• Monitor maintenance performance metrics and ensure staffing levels meet required standards.
• Provide program enhancement recommendations to the Project Manager and VDOT management.
• Assist in the development of long - and short -range strategic maintenance plans and budget analysis.
• Participate in maintenance analysis, including evaluation of effectiveness, staffing requirements, reporting criteria, trends, and responses.
• Coordinate with Safety and Training managers to develop programs that enhance personnel skills.
• Ensure compliance with VDOT policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
