About The Position

Jared Jewelers is seeking a Maintenance / Porter to help create an environment of total customer satisfaction by making customers’ needs the first priority. The role performs general maintenance inside and outside the store, keeps store and public areas clean and orderly, and monitors work performed by contracted vendors. It also uses the ETS in accordance with company guidelines and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Genuine desire to serve customers by keeping retail stores and their exterior orderly.
• Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
• Moderate interpersonal relations and communication skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and basic carpentry skills.
• Visual and auditory skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance inside and outside the store.
• Keep the sales floor presentable by picking up or sweeping spills and debris.
• Keep glass windows and doors free from spots.
• Clean and maintain public restrooms on the designated schedule.
• Keep the break room clean, neat, and orderly.
• Maintain the exterior appearance of the store by sweeping or picking up debris and regularly emptying trash containers.
• Clear snow, slush, or ice from in front of the entrance.
• Monitor maintenance performed by contracted vendors.
• Use the ETS in accordance with company guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
