About The Position

Performs advanced PM (preventive maintenance) on a variety of production machinery, including CNC machining centers. Performs simple machine repair, fabrication, and welding as assigned. Works with processes and systems for HAZMAT, OSHA, and DEQ, and other regulatory bodies. The level of the role will depend on experience.

Requirements

2-3 years of related mechanical/technical work experience in a manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge and experience with hand tools and power tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use measuring equipment including inside/outside micrometers, dial indicators, and heat monitoring guns.
Working knowledge of computers and the ability to learn new computer programs such as CMMS (CribMaster).
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and troubleshoot problems.
Ability to interpret machine part books.
Understanding of tolerance required on production machinery.
Ability to fabricate repair parts for machines.
Must be able to fulfill the minimum qualifications of Maintenance PM Mechanic I.
Must either hold HazMat certification or become certified within the first year of employment.
All required licensures must be maintained and kept up to date.

Responsibilities

Performs advanced preventive maintenance on production machinery, including CNC machining centers.
Provides routine maintenance, including lubrication and cleaning, to production areas to meet performance, ergonomic, and safety standards.
Inspects components and recommends repair or replacement.
Performs light machine repair, fabrication, and welding as assigned.
Trains and mentors other mechanics on preventative maintenance.
Actively engages in continuous improvement efforts and focuses on permanent problem resolutions.
Maintains maintenance records in a CMMS (Cribmaster) and orders preventive maintenance supplies.
Adheres to all ISO, OSHA, and DEQ requirements.
