About The Position

Under general direction, this role is responsible for maintaining hospital utility, plumbing, and sewage systems, as well as maintaining and repairing equipment and systems throughout the hospital complex. The position requires exhibiting the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).

Requirements

Five (5) years minimum experience in plumbing and pipe fitting trades.
Extensive knowledge in the installation, maintenance, and repair of sanitary waste disposal systems.
Extensive knowledge in the installation and repair of utility pipe systems and components.
Ability to pass the color blindness test.

Responsibilities

Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial and industrial plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drain systems, valves, and sump pumps. Experience with powered augers and drain unclogging equipment is necessary.
Replace and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, urinals, and drinking bottle fill stations.
Work on other equipment and systems throughout the Medical Center.
Contribute to the safe environment of the Medical Center complex.
Maintain all tools and equipment properly and according to department standards.
Contribute to the efficient operation of the department.
Contribute to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the Organization.
