About The Position

This role is responsible for planning and coordinating planned maintenance outages to meet overall operating goals. The engineer will also assist with the evaluation of process equipment, ensure the functionality and reliability of plant mechanical and hydraulic equipment, and train operators and technicians. Staying current with technology advancements and recommending upgrades are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 - 5 years of related experience.
Strong technical, troubleshooting, and organizations skills desired.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a technical area preferred.

Responsibilities

Works safely, enforces strict adherence to safe operating procedures including but not limited to enforcement of lockout/tryout procedures and corrects any unsafe conditions identified during the course of work.
Plans and coordinates planned maintenance outages to meet overall operating goals.
Coordinates project management tasks.
Interfaces with external contractors and suppliers and coordinates contractor work activities and performance within the facility.
Assists with the evaluation of process equipment using technical expertise, knowledge of operational performance, and process demands.
Assures functionality and reliability of plant mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
Assures maintenance program will sustain reliability and performance of equipment.
Trains operators and technicians to properly troubleshoot and repair mechanical hydraulic equipment within plant. Coordinates their activities.
Remains current on technology advancement within industry and recommends upgrade of equipment and process as deemed appropriate.
