About The Position

The Maintenance Planning & CMMS Manager is responsible for leading maintenance planning, scheduling, and CMMS administration to support safe, reliable, and compliant operations. This position serves as the site subject matter expert for SAP, Maximo, and maintenance management processes while partnering with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and contractors to ensure effective execution of maintenance activities. The role drives maintenance performance through planning, reporting, KPI management, contractor coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5–7 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, CMMS administration, or maintenance management.
  • Experience with SAP PM, IBM Maximo, or similar CMMS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, preventive maintenance, and asset management principles.
  • Experience developing KPIs, reports, and performance metrics.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, GMP, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Maintenance and Reliability certifications (CMRP or equivalent).
  • Experience leading shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance projects.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance and reliability-centered maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site maintenance planning and scheduling activities.
  • Coordinate maintenance work with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and contractors.
  • Plan and coordinate preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities.
  • Develop maintenance schedules and monitor execution to ensure completion of planned work.
  • Lead maintenance project planning, resource coordination, and progress tracking.
  • Serve as the site CMMS Administrator and Subject Matter Expert for SAP, Maximo, and related maintenance systems.
  • Maintain asset records, maintenance plans, and work order management processes.
  • Train and support CMMS users while promoting standardized maintenance practices.
  • Serve as the site owner for CMMS applications, including upgrades, testing, and system enhancements.
  • Coordinate with IT, vendors, and system administrators to resolve issues and maintain system performance.
  • Develop, track, and present maintenance KPIs to site leadership and stakeholders.
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and analytics to support operational decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency, planning effectiveness, and asset reliability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance operations.
  • Develop scopes of work and obtain contractor quotations.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and support contractor selection activities.
  • Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Monitor maintenance expenditures and support budget management.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and maintenance standards.
  • Support inspections, audits, and maintenance-related compliance activities.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with site leadership to develop and execute maintenance strategies aligned with business objectives.
