The Maintenance Planner is responsible for scheduling all maintenance work activity within the plant.

Requirements

Excellent computer literacy and proficiency.
Knowledge of basic mechanical parts (motors, gear boxes, bearings).
Experience managing projects
Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
High School diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or Bachelor degree in a technical discipline preferred
Previous industrial maintenance experience is desired
Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus

Responsibilities

Coordinate with Job Change Coordinator and production staff to plan maintenance during downtime and maintain a planned maintenance schedule for the facility.
Provide documentation of upcoming work, including parts lists / kits required.
Review and improve the maintenance and planning processes to improve efficiency and remove waste, including but not limited to cost, manning and materials.
Understand storeroom inventories, min/max, and work with storeroom personnel to manage parts inventory and prioritize ordering against available M&E budgets.
Interface with the safety observation, walk-and-talk, and near-miss processes within the plant to ensure alignment of maintenance resources and activities to improve employee safety and environmental compliance.
