About The Position

Burrow Global is seeking an Entry level Maintenance Planner for a long-term assignment in Baytown, TX. This role is within the maintenance planning department of a client organization. Candidates should have no more than 1-3 years of total experience as a maintenance planner, coupled with strong computer skills and experience with CMMS software. The position involves reviewing P&ID drawings and asset data from capital projects for entry into CMMS software. It also includes assisting in the development of detailed job plans through field walk-downs to identify necessary craft resources, equipment, and materials. The planner will break down scope items into manageable steps, assist in material/service procurement, enter steps into a database, and notify the EPC planner when work is ready for scheduling. Additionally, the role involves monitoring the progress of field activities. The Planner/Scheduler aspect defines, creates, and maintains production schedules based on demand, capacity, and compliance factors, monitors inventories and manufacturing progress, and tracks schedule compliance and capacity utilization. It also involves executing ERP processes and reporting functions to support business and scheduling decisions.

Requirements

  • No more than 1-3 years total experience working as a maintenance planner.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Experience with CMMS software.
  • The ability to read at a level to understand written safety procedures, work procedures, blueprints, P&IDs, work permits, and technical instruction manuals.
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Active TWIC Card.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment.
  • Basic computer skills such as opening, creating, and updating content in MS Word documents and Excel spreadsheets.
  • The ability to assume responsibility, prioritize and respond to multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
  • The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a business like and professional manner.
  • Must live within 30 miles of Baytown, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Review P&ID drawings and asset data from capital projects.
  • Enter data into maintenance CMMS software.
  • Assist in the development of detail job plans by performing field walk downs based on scope of work to identify craft resources, equipment and material required to execute the work.
  • Break scope items down into steps which can be progressed during execution.
  • Assist in the procurement of required material/outside services.
  • Enter all steps into a database.
  • Notify the EPC planner when scope is complete and ready to be scheduled.
  • Assist in monitoring progress of field activities.
  • Define, create and maintain the production schedules based upon demand planning, actual customer demand, internal capacity constraints, and factors affecting schedule compliance.
  • Monitor materials inventories, track manufacturing progress and review dynamics of production schedule utilization.
  • Monitor and maintain planning system.
  • Track and monitor schedule compliance and capacity utilization.
  • Execute ERP processes and report functions, providing timely data and information used to drive the business and schedule decision making process.
  • Plan and establish the production schedule and track manufacturing progress.
