About The Position

ASAHI BEER USA | OCTOPI BREWING is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring all machinery is kept in optimal working condition before issues arise. The Maintenance Planner will work closely with Brewing and Production leadership to transition from reactive repairs to proactive planning, ensuring equipment, budgets, and preventative maintenance schedules operate efficiently. This is a high-visibility role that offers ownership over a 3-year preventative maintenance schedule and the equipment budget, allowing the individual to lead projects and influence maintenance systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of general technical or maintenance experience, including prior planning experience (production or services).
• High degree of mechanical aptitude, with the ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project leadership skills.
• Comfortable working with ERP systems and electronic data.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, and bend, twist, and turn as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Experience in the food or beverage industry.

Responsibilities

• Own and refine the 3-year preventative maintenance schedule, collaborating with Brewing Process and Production leadership.
• Generate work orders, create comprehensive work packs (including permits, parts, and instructions), and align preventative maintenance tasks with OEM recommendations.
• Manage spare parts inventory and budget in conjunction with the Maintenance Inventory Coordinator.
• Lead root cause analysis for equipment issues and drive continuous improvement in maintenance activities.
• Coordinate external vendors and contracted work, providing support during emergency downtime.
