The Maintenance Planner is responsible for scheduling and monitoring maintenance on aircraft. This role forecasts and coordinates the scheduling of both short-term and intermediate maintenance requirements on company aircraft, ensuring timely compliance with all maintenance needs. The planner develops and maintains major visit plans and schedules for heavy maintenance, paint lines, mod lines, project authorizations, and major component plans. They work closely with the SOC Duty Manager and Sector Supervisor, adhering to company aircraft routing policies. The position involves developing and maintaining visit packages and hangar work orders using the company's Aircraft Maintenance System Computer (AMCS). The Maintenance Planner monitors aircraft status and hub operations, rerouting aircraft as needed to address operational irregularities while maintaining the integrity of the maintenance plan and company performance objectives. They also monitor MEL and Deferred Maintenance Items, coordinating timely compliance with MOC, Line Maintenance, and Material activities, and communicate operational changes affecting the maintenance plan. Constant oversight of company-assigned flights and the short-term maintenance plan is required, with prompt reporting of any irregularities or conflicts to the Supervisor, Maintenance Planning/Routing. A daily log of all maintenance and operational information is maintained, and additional functions may be assigned.
