We're seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Maintenance Planner to join the facilities/maintenance team at our Brooklyn facility. This is not a hands-on repair role — this is the person who keeps the entire maintenance operation organized, efficient, and running like a machine. You will own the work order management system, drive PM compliance, coordinate with vendors, and help the team reduce downtime and control costs. Requirements

3+ years of hands-on CMMS/work order management system experience — this is the core of the role
Experience in a food production, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial operations environment — required
Strong vendor management and communication skills
Highly organized, analytical, and data-driven — you will spend the majority of your time on a computer
Experience coordinating preventive maintenance schedules for a maintenance or facilities team
Proactive, detail-oriented, team-oriented — strong culture fit
Reliable commute to Brooklyn, NY

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Fiix, EAM Infor, FMX, Maximo, or similar CMMS platforms
Experience tracking KPIs such as PM compliance, MTBF, and equipment downtime
Background in food safety compliance (GMP, SQF, HACCP)

Responsibilities

Own and manage the work order management system (CMMS) — tracking equipment status, open work orders, and downtime
Coordinate with the maintenance tech team to ensure preventive maintenance (PM) schedules are being followed and completed on time
Work with vendors to schedule repairs, negotiate costs, and drive repair spend down
Order parts and maintain accurate inventory levels
Track, analyze, and report on equipment downtime, repair costs, and parts spend
Partner with the Facilities Manager to identify trends and opportunities to improve equipment uptime and reduce costs
Maintain accurate documentation across all maintenance activity
