This role is an "On-Site" position at the Clean Energy Center (CEC) in Marseilles, IL. The Maintenance Planner I&C is responsible for planning and preparing work packages for maintenance departments to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations in compliance with quality assurance standards, company policies, and applicable codes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience OR Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 2 years of related experience OR Associate's degree with 3 years of related experience OR High school diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable.
  • Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience in nuclear power plant operations

Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare work instructions for corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, surveillance activities, and modifications.
  • Select and approve or recommend procurement of materials needed for work package execution.
  • Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze maintenance activities and improve work package quality.
  • Interface and collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve work package issues.
  • Define procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials required for planned work packages.
  • Facilitate package preparation by preparing and/or submitting various permits and documentation (e.g., OOS's, RWP's, plant barrier impairments, welding/grinding permits, fire impairments, Operability impact statements, ALARA task outs, Regulatory/Code documentation, NOS hold/witness points, freeze seal and temporary leak repair documentation).
  • Verify work instructions are adequate and comply with all applicable CEC procedures, including Nuclear Safeguard Protocol (NSPs), National Strategy for Space Nuclear Power and Propulsion (NSWPs), and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code.
  • Approve and review all required work packages to ensure safety, high quality, technical rigor, and 10CFR50.59 screening or evaluation.
  • Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to facilitate work package development and maintain compliance.
  • Provide project management for other system planners or contractors in developing detailed elements of package preparation.
  • Participate in work control/scheduling meetings, planning feedback/craft interface time, contract requisition reviews, troubleshooting, EQR2 reviews, Operating Experience (OPEX) searches, Maintenance risk request reviews, Planner peer reviews, and system interaction reviews.
  • Perform other job assignments and duties as directed, including emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities.
