This position is responsible for scheduling compliance, planning compliances, maintaining a professional relationship with operating and maintenance partners, and timely distribution of reports and metrics. The role serves as the principal contact and liaison between the maintenance department and all associated ancillary departments plantwide, including USDA, Food Safety, Operations, Sanitation, and various vendors. Key responsibilities include reviewing work requests for validity and accuracy, determining preliminary priorities in conjunction with maintenance management, identifying work orders requiring engineering design, and escalating potential production-interrupting issues observed during daily walk-throughs. The role also involves data entry into the maintenance software system for spare parts, drawings, and maintenance manuals, obtaining and organizing necessary information for craftspeople, and identifying and securing required parts and materials through the stores system. Additionally, the position is responsible for receiving outside contractor labor, ensuring scope understanding, documenting completed work, tracking maintenance downtime, following up on completed work assignments, and maintaining accurate metrics on planning and scheduling functions for reporting to plant engineers and maintenance superintendents. Professionalism at all times within the plant is expected.
