About The Position

As the Maintenance Person, you perform general, routine maintenance and servicing operations through the hospital plant and area as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to operate hand and/or power tools
• Must be able to do basic mathematical computations
• Must be able to hear, read, and comprehend technical instructions
• Must have the ability to deal effectively with a changing environment and be open to new ideas
• 1 year previous experience in similar position, preferably in an institutional setting
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, as demonstrated by an MVR in order to be covered under the Company’s insurance policy

Nice To Haves

• Trade school diploma or degree from a technical school

Responsibilities

• Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards.
• Completes work orders and PMs in a timely manner.
• Performs minor repairs on equipment and machinery and to buildings and facilities, including painting, plastering, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical power.
• Performs maintenance, repair, or replacement of broken parts.
• Maintains all required departmental records, reports, and files as required.
• Keeps work areas orderly, clean, and safe. Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies.
• Performs other job duties as requested.
