Dakota City Maintenance Painter
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance and Painting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the upkeep and appearance of our facilities. Your primary duties will include preparing surfaces and applying paint to various areas within the facility to maintain a clean and professional appearance, managing the inventory of paint and related supplies, and performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks. You will oversee the maintenance and painting of specific areas including the Harvest floor, rendering areas, plant areas, and the outside parking lot on the Harvest side. Be prepared to work in varying temperatures, both hot and cold, as required by different areas of the facility. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as part of your daily responsibilities. Possess strong communication skills with the ability to understand, written and verbal instructions and work orders. Ensure accurate completion of all job-related paperwork.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR MECHANIC WORK EXPERIENCE DOCUMENTED IN THE WORK HISTORY SECTION OF APLICATION OR BE A GRADUATE OF AN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TRAINING PROGRAM. (CAN BE COMBINATION OF EXPLOYERS AS LONG AS EXPERIENCE IS AT LEAST 1 YEAR)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work in different environmental conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to understand, read, and comprehend written and verbal instructions and work orders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces and apply paint to various areas within the facility to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Maintain and manage the inventory of paint and related supplies to ensure availability for ongoing projects.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the facility in excellent condition.
- Oversee the maintenance and painting of specific areas including the Harvest floor, rendering areas, plant areas, and the outside parking lot on the Harvest side.
- Ensure accurate completion of all job-related paperwork.
