Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Aftermarket notifications, Engineering Authorizations, or Change Request Technical Substantiation Package (CRTSPs).
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated knowledge of gas turbine engines and related hardware
  • Experience supporting engine hardware through change processes, production/field dispositions, and limit‑expansion analysis.
  • Proficiency with required engineering analytical tools and documentation sources.
  • Experience with analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with ability to work across disciplines and management levels.
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience

Responsibilities

  • Active as a member of the Engine Life Management Team (ELMT), including trending updates and technical changes, supporting ACIs, and supporting DEEP look activities.
  • Support hardware recovery efforts through limits expansions, deviation requests, and pursuit of repair solutions.
  • Review and disposition of MRB hardware.
  • Support Component Improvement Program (CIP) tasks.
  • Presenting data, analysis, and solutions to varied audiences including senior leadership and customer representatives.
  • Work as the onsite representative supporting engine/hardware investigations.
  • Assist Customer Support Engineering (CSE) and base personnel with field support and quality issues.
  • Act as the primary interface onsite for the CIPT's, Site Leadership, and Onsite Customers, as well as provide mentoring and guidance to assist in developing the onsite team.
