About The Position

The Maintenance Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of production equipment and facilities. This includes conducting inspections, performing general and preventative maintenance, overseeing contractor activities, and maintaining accurate records. The role also involves managing hazardous waste shipments and ensuring assigned warehouse areas operate within established procedures. Additionally, the Maintenance Operator is encouraged to recommend improvements and provide solutions to operational problems.

Requirements

High School Diploma and/or General Educations Diploma (GED)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations.
Welding, electrical knowledge, piping, and general construction.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections, testing, and record keeping as required.
Perform general and preventative maintenance duties.
Oversee contractor activity as directed.
Maintain production equipment based on information and/or equipment used in the course of work performance.
Maintain accurate record keeping within the department.
Review established production schedule to ensure equipment is operational.
Perform equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance.
Load hazardous waste for outbound shipments.
Maintain assigned warehouse area and assure that it is operated within operating procedures.
Recommend suggestions for improvement and provide solutions to problems.
