About The Position

The Maintenance Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and improving the day-to-day operations of the company's in-house maintenance department across managed residential properties. This position serves as the primary operational link between Property Managers, Maintenance Technicians, residents, property owners, vendors, and company leadership. The Maintenance Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring maintenance work orders are properly assigned, scheduled, completed, documented, billed, and closed in a timely and cost-effective manner. The primary focus of this position is in-house maintenance productivity, work-order management, technician supervision, quality control, scheduling, materials management, and accountability. The secondary focus of this position is as point of contact/liaison between third-party vendors and in-house property managers. The successful candidate will be hands-on, organized, responsive, and capable of holding maintenance personnel accountable for productivity, workmanship, communication, safety, and completion of assigned work.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of residential property repairs and maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Comfortable acting in a supervisory capacity while working under the direction of the GM/VP of Maintenance.
  • Ability to move beyond an administrative role and actively run the daily maintenance operation.

Responsibilities
