In this role, you will provide leadership and planning for equipment maintenance team supporting cell imperatives, safety, quality, delivery, people, projects and cost. You will be expected to make business critical decisions in a timely manner while demonstrating leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for equipment maintenance team to support all production areas or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for yourself and others, that directly affect short-term and long-term business goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience in industrial maintenance environment
  • 2-3 years in a Maintenance Technician role
  • Minimum 2 years in Maintenance CNC experience
  • Ability to work 3rd shift (11pm - 7am), with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and business standards
  • Develop, coordinate, lead and execute daily production plans consistent with the goals and objectives of the department
  • Drive key performance metrics and track results for business priorities as defined by your role i.e. safety, quality, productivity, delivery, people, projects and cost as they relate to Equipment Maintenance metrics such as Downtime percentage, Mean Time Between Failures, Mean Time to Repair, and PM Completion percentage per cell
  • Support training and development of all maintenance team members
  • Provide technical direction and support needs for assigned maintenance technicians, technical leads, engineering technicians which includes: trouble-shooting and problem solving equipment issues, resource and coverage planning, scheduling overtime, and supporting production cell priorities
  • Monitor adherence to daily production goals, attend all Lean Production Meetings (L1 / L2 / L3) per cell to support key performance metrics and goals and objectives
  • Work with cross-functional peers to troubleshoot and resolve technical and quality issues as they arise
  • Drive daily preventative maintenance program to improve machine reliability and performance
  • Support, encourage and facilitate core manufacturing principles by providing adequate time for training and for teams to accomplish continuous improvement projects
  • Work to maintain and further develop a Visual Management including support for a 5S program, equipment maintenance inventory, and metric displays
  • Develop and support the technical growth of all employees
  • Support all company workplace policies including attendance and safety objectives
  • Work with HR to develop a performance-oriented work environment encompassing timely performance appraisals, reviews for new employees, and timely disciplinary action when warranted
  • Coordinate planning and scheduling activities for project improvements, and lean initiatives
  • Apply appropriate optimization methodologies to balance inventory, and resource utilization
  • Monitor performance metrics to the plan and take pro-active action to solve problems and mitigate risk in meeting the plan. This includes the use of, and even creation of, L1 and L2 Communication boards.
  • Interface with other GE organizations to benchmark best practices and continuous improvement projects
