About The Position

One of our valued manufacturing clients in Iron Ridge, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support plant equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and fast-response troubleshooting. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on industrial maintenance professional with strong experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment within a fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate enjoys solving equipment issues quickly, minimizing downtime, and partnering closely with production to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with motors, bearings, conveyors, gearboxes, and mechanical systems
  • Working knowledge of 480V / 3-phase electrical systems
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Familiarity with PM programs and CMMS systems
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize urgent repairs
  • Strong attention to detail and plant safety

Nice To Haves

  • PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Welding, fabrication, or furnace equipment experience highly preferred
  • Experience in metal fabrication or heavy manufacturing strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic PLC-controlled equipment
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production machinery, furnaces, welding systems, conveyors, and facility utilities
  • Respond quickly to equipment downtime and emergency maintenance calls
  • Repair motors, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, sensors, and production support systems
  • Install, relocate, and modify equipment to support process improvements and production flow
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation
  • Maintain accurate work orders, PM logs, and parts usage within the CMMS
  • Support 5S, continuous improvement, reliability, and safety initiatives
  • Partner with outside vendors and contractors when needed
