About The Position
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. These General Mechanic positions could work any department in Harvest or Processing of this beef processing facility.
Requirements
- 6 months experience of mechanic work in the work history section of application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have a 180 days rehire waiting period and a 3 time limit.
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets.
- Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
- Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling and reaching are required in all areas.
- Must be able to climb up/down stairs and ladders.
- Lifting up to 100 pounds is required.
- Working in cold, damp or hot and humid environments (30 degrees to 105 degrees).
