About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at a vitamin manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical maintenance background along with mechanical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting experience is required.
- Experience working with motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, conveyors, and control systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Mechanical experience with pumps, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, vitamin, or packaging manufacturing is preferred.
- Electrical certification or technical training is a plus.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, PLCs, and control panels.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical components and production machinery.
- Perform equipment inspections and complete preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime through timely repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, and company safety procedures.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
