About The Position
Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business. Currently looking for all shifts. Differential pay (10% for 12 hour day shift and 20% for 12 hour night shift). The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for general facility maintenance on their shift and will report directly to the maintenance Manager.
Requirements
- High School Degree
- 5 + years of experience industrial mechanical experience in a production environment
- Familiarity with environmental, health & safety regulations
- Must possess good mechanical aptitude and be able to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
- Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders and controls
Nice To Haves
- Prior forklift certification a plus
- Extrusion and sheet line experience a plus
Responsibilities
- General office and manufacturing maintenance
- Lubrication / oil changing of heavy production machinery
- Repair / replace bearings, gear-heads, belts, chains, conveyors, filters, etc.
- Modify existing structural components to comply with safety regulations, cost savings measures as required
- Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment, Health & Safety
- Other tasks as assigned by manager
