About The Position

We are looking for an experienced MAINTENANCE MECHANIC to join our Lithia Springs, GA plant. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) with likelihood of overtime. We offer competitive benefits and salary, plus up to $1.00/hr increase after 90 days. You will be responsible for ensuring our customers' satisfaction by achieving maximum up time on our manufacturing equipment. You will also work closely with all departments in the facility, including Production, Shipping, and more. Requirements

  • Proven history in general maintenance, mechanical repair, or as a handyman.
  • Ready and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Safety-minded with thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and of related safety practices.
  • Remarkable sense of urgency.
  • Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.
  • Ability to understand technical service manuals and maintain basic records for repair work done.
  • PLC practical experience and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks properly and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to operate personal computer and knowledge of basic computer applications, including computer generated parts and service manuals.
  • Maintain a current state Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Good communication and interpersonal relationships.
  • Capable of working in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work overtime, on-call duties when necessary.
  • Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb.
  • Must be able to perform heavy work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally; and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently; and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with Knowledge on NEC and NFPA codes and standards preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Building Maintenance: Fix minor electrical and plumbing problems like leaky faucets, broken switches, and filter changes.
  • Carpentry & Assembly: Build shelves, repair doors, and assemble furniture or equipment
  • Diagnostics: Troubleshoot mechanical or structural issues and choose the best repair method
  • Tool Operation: Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic testing equipment safely.
