About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic role is responsible for maintaining and repairing all plant equipment and facilities to ensure customer satisfaction and support the manufacturing of Kibbles ‘n Bits. This includes reviewing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or a GED
• Strong mechanical aptitude combined with good diagnostic skills
• Experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment and facilities
• A proven track record of consistent performance delivering safety and quality
• Capability to work well in a team environment and be willing to help solve problems and implement solutions
• Ability to comply with a strict attendance policy
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability and willingness to communicate with cross functional teams

Nice To Haves

• Experience in food manufacturing preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all plant equipment and facilities in a way that achieves customer satisfaction in support of the manufacturing of Kibbles ‘n Bits
• Review work orders to ensure materials are available and develop manpower and scheduling estimates. Initiate work orders when work cannot be performed immediately
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspection functions and take the initiative to ensure these programs are modified and updated as needed
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly work area to ensure employee and food safety
