About The Position

Teknor Apex is an international custom compounder with a nearly hundred-year history, operating nine U.S. locations and facilities in Belgium, Singapore, Germany, and China. As a privately held company, Teknor Apex fosters deep employee and customer relationships, enabling the delivery of customized compound solutions. This role is a full-time position within a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Timely and regular attendance is crucial for success and team safety. Mandatory overtime may be required depending on business needs, as production areas must be manned for worker safety, potentially extending beyond scheduled shifts or requiring additional hours outside the normal schedule. The regular hours for this role are 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree/technical degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and general knowledge of facilities equipment.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or other lift equipment as required.
  • Driver’s license required if operating company vehicle/truck.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret documents.
  • Must be 18 years of age to work at Teknor Apex.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 – 5 years practical experience in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on all machines & equipment in the plant.
  • Install and move production machines and manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair machine malfunctions.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and/or controls.
  • Ensure shop, equipment and tools are safe to use.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and in good working order and secured.
  • Responsible for maintaining facilities equipment.
  • Operate maintenance shop equipment and hand tools.
  • Fabricate parts, weld, cut and install metalwork as needed.
  • Assist in training entry level team members.
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping and 6S standards.
  • Identify quality issues and attain established productivity standards.
  • Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
