About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on building systems and equipment. This role ensures facilities are safe, functional, and operating efficiently by addressing day-to-day maintenance needs and supporting preventative maintenance programs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment repair, and troubleshooting
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic systems
Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Technical certification or trade school training (mechanical, HVAC, or industrial maintenance)
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or facilities environments
Welding or fabrication experience
Familiarity with CMMS systems

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, including HVAC systems, pumps, motors, conveyors, and other machinery
Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life
Repair and replace worn or defective parts, components, and systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and welding tasks as needed
Respond to emergency maintenance requests and equipment failures
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards
Collaborate with other maintenance staff, vendors, and operations teams
