Requirements

  • Trained technician in electrical, mechanical either or both.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the trained area, or the successful completion of a technical program in industrial maintenance.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing is preferred.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team and individually to complete projects.
  • Ability to work nights with the possibility of day shift openings as they become available.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read blueprints and/or wiring diagrams is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • General knowledge and experience in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and boiler systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and/or wiring diagrams is helpful but not required.
  • Knowledge in machine shop operations and the use of machine shop tools and equipment.
  • Experience in Mig/Stick welding and fabrication.
  • Preventative maintenance in equipment reliability to minimize operational downtime.
  • Knowledge in OSHA safety programs such as LO/TO, arc flash, confined space entry, proper PPE, machine safety and plant wide safety awareness.
  • Emergency response to mechanical and electrical failures, water line breaks, chemical spills and fire out-breaks.
  • Will be required to work in hot and cold environment.
  • May at times be exposed to weather elements.
  • May at times be exposed to working in wet conditions.
