About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for keeping facilities operating smoothly and safely. This role combines hands-on technical work with preventive maintenance, ensuring clients enjoy optimal building conditions and uninterrupted operations.

Requirements

  • Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance tasks
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and escalation purposes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance requests
  • Commitment to following all safety procedures and protocols

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or building operations
  • Experience with CMMS systems, particularly 360 Facility or similar platforms
  • Technical certification or trade school training in relevant disciplines
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems maintenance and repair
  • Experience working in commercial office environments
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations
  • Previous experience with preventive maintenance programs
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Customer service experience in professional settings
  • Forklift or equipment operation certification

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventive maintenance and responding to repair work orders across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Conducting facility inspections and reporting on conditions that could impact client operations.
  • Performing interior maintenance tasks like hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture.
  • Assisting the operations team with building and equipment maintenance.
  • Moving office furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Replacing lighting and ballasts.
  • Maintaining HVAC systems by cleaning coils and changing filters and belts.
  • Completing hazard assessments.
  • Maintaining clean and safe work areas.
  • Staying current with all required safety training.
  • Submitting daily P-card receipts.
  • Updating work order status in real-time using CMMS systems like 360 Facility.
  • Performing vehicle safety inspections.
  • Escalating issues to customers and management promptly.
  • Attending required work and safety meetings.
