About The Position

Gladding McBean in Lincoln, CA is a manufacturer of vitrified clay pipe for sewers, clay roof tile, piazza clay floor tile, glazed terra cotta pottery, architectural terra cotta, sacked mortar clay, chimney tops and caps. Requirements

Ability to use blueprints, common hand tools, and electronic test devices.
Ability to repair and maintain production equipment including hydraulic machines, electrical machines, mechanical equipment, and hydraulic and electric freight elevators.
Ability to repair building and grounds equipment and machinery, including plumbing, electrical, sprinkler systems, and air conditioning and heating equipment.
Ability to maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery.
Ability to fabricate machine parts.
Ability to obtain necessary supplies from distributor or storeroom.
Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance such as inspecting belts, checking fluid levels and filters.
Ability to abide by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensure hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
Ability to attend safety meetings and abide by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

Performs troubleshooting and diagnoses problems, using blueprints, common hand tools, and electronic test devices.
Repairs and maintains production equipment including hydraulic machines, electrical machines, mechanical equipment, and hydraulic and electric freight elevators.
Repairs building and grounds equipment and machinery, including plumbing, electrical, sprinkler systems, and air conditioning and heating equipment.
Maintains and repairs specialized equipment and machinery.
Fabricates machine parts, as necessary, to make repairs.
Obtains necessary supplies from distributor or storeroom.
