About The Position

At High Steel Structures, we fabricate structural steel for North America's infrastructure, specializing in complex bridge and transportation projects. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM) to perform a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment repairs, as well as building repairs. This role requires flexibility for overtime and weekend rotation, and the 2nd shift offers a 25% shift differential.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required.
  • Experience with repairs of VFD's, PLC's CNC controls/drives required.
  • Flexibility required to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
  • A valid PA driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of experience in industrial/commercial maintenance/electrical preferred.
  • Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting desired.
  • Welding equipment and overhead crane experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and performing a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment repairs.
  • Performing building repairs on a variety of equipment, services, and structures throughout the fabrication shops and office areas.
  • Working on assignment or following established schedules, including some weekends and holidays.
