Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2–4 years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment; OR completion of a recognized Industrial Maintenance Apprenticeship or Skilled Trades Program.
US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the United States.
Working knowledge of high-speed processing equipment.
Working knowledge of packaging machinery.
Working knowledge of mechanical drives.
Working knowledge of pumps.
Working knowledge of gearboxes.
Working knowledge of conveyors.
Working knowledge of bearings.
Working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
Working knowledge of pneumatic systems.
Working knowledge of mechanical power transmission.
Proficiency with welding and fabrication.
Proficiency with basic machining.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Experience with Preventive Maintenance (PM).
Experience with Predictive Maintenance (PdM).
Experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis.
Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP-PM) or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Working knowledge of OSHA Safety Standards.
Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Working knowledge of Confined Space Entry.
Working knowledge of Hot Work Permits.
Working knowledge of NFPA Standards.
Working knowledge of NEC Standards.
Working knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair high-speed processing equipment and packaging machinery.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical drives, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings.
Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Utilize mechanical power transmission knowledge for equipment upkeep.
Perform welding, fabrication, and basic machining as needed.
Operate hand and power tools effectively for maintenance tasks.
Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) activities.
Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to identify and resolve equipment issues.
Utilize SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP-PM) or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for documentation and tracking.
Interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and mechanical schematics.
Conduct equipment inspections and utilize condition monitoring tools like Thermography and Ultrasound.
Apply analytical thinking and strong troubleshooting methodologies to solve problems.
Prioritize equipment repairs during production to minimize downtime.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and process optimization.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with various departments.
Collaborate effectively with multiple departments and work as part of a team.
