Performs maintenance, installations, and repairs of equipment and building support systems that are necessary to the operation of the plant and offices at the facility. This role involves working on job duties and assignments related to maintenance, repair, installing, fabricating, adjusting, and troubleshooting equipment. The mechanic is responsible for scheduled preventive maintenance checks, departmental inventory control, and diagnosing/resolving equipment malfunctions. They will perform mechanical, electrical, and plumbing operations, as well as start-up and shut-down functions. The position requires responding to emergency calls on a twenty-four-hour basis, resolving safety issues, and maintaining departmental documentation. Work must be performed safely in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, and adherence to Quality System procedures is mandatory. Participation in the handling, labeling, containment, and disposal of hazardous waste is also required.
