Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED.
3 years in maintenance, various types of equipment, and physical plant.
2 years of construction experience in basic carpentry and drywall.
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
Proven maintenance experience.
Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.

Nice To Haves

Hospital setting experience.

Responsibilities

Repairing, replacing, or otherwise improving items of the Hospital Facilities or equipment.
Perform semi-skilled work in several crafts.
Perform semi-skilled tasks. (Examples) Repairing drywall, painting, repairing doors or other building fixtures, plumbing and electrical, and basic carpentry skills are required.
Adjust and make repairs, “on location” to equipment and physical plant.
Construct or reconstruct equipment and the physical plant.
Perform a variety of small construction tasks as directed.
Install such new equipment as directed.
Responsible for snow removal during and after hours.
Repair machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.
Perform other duties of the department, as assigned.
