About The Position

Join JLL as a key member of our operations team, where you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and fully operational facility. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be the hands-on problem-solver responsible for the upkeep and repair of our building's essential systems. This position requires a diverse skill set across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical trades. Your work will directly contribute to the success of the facility by performing preventative maintenance, responding to repair needs, and ensuring our environment meets the highest standards of safety and quality. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in general building repair and maintenance.
  • A valid state driver’s license and a reliable driving record.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in basic plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work comfortably on ladders.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a technical training program in a relevant field such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical trades.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, a positive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges and learn new skills, accountability, ownership.
  • Experience with completing digital and paper-based work orders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on critical equipment including pumps, motors, and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  • Perform skilled repairs across a variety of trades, including maintaining plumbing components like toilets, sinks, and water heaters.
  • Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address potential issues before they become problems.
  • Manage and complete assigned work orders accurately and on time, documenting all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Operate a wide range of hand and power tools safely and effectively, while upholding a clean and organized work environment.
  • Act as a first responder to facility emergencies, troubleshooting issues quickly and efficiently to ensure safety and minimize disruption.
  • Assist with special projects as needed, including painting, locksmith work, and office furniture assembly.
