The Maintenance Mechanic performs diversified duties regarding the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment for Reliable. This role is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining complex and high precision numerical control machine tools. The mechanic will also assist in developing continuous improvement actions through the use of TPM/TPR concepts, and will rebuild and overhaul components such as gear boxes, tool changers, cylinders, index units, motors, and pumps when applicable and necessary. Additionally, the role involves inspecting, repairing, and replacing hydraulic and pneumatic system components, troubleshooting and replacing electrical devices, and performing tasks to ensure proper response and operational functions such as preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and offline testing of components. The Maintenance Mechanic will work closely with Reliable personnel and contractors on the installation of new machines, rebuilding, overhauling, and difficult repairs. A strong emphasis is placed on promoting a safe workplace by performing all tasks in compliance with all rules, procedures, and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment, and maintaining vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices.
