About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for conducting his/her work in a safe manner at all times. The Maintenance Mechanic is required to become proficient in and be expected to lead rotating equipment troubleshooting and repair in an industrial/refinery setting.

Requirements

Repair and maintain equipment in an industrial/refinery setting
Able to troubleshoot mechanical problems
Able to work independently
Safe working experience
Certified pipe welder
Strong Mathematical and Mechanically reasoning ability
The ability to work in team-based environment
Attention to detail
Good communication skills
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Vocational training preferred
Experience in chemical processing environment preferred

Responsibilities

Repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production and processing machinery and pipeline distribution systems.
Repairing Centrifugal Pumps, Positive Displacement Pumps, Reciprocal Compressors, Mechanical Seals, Heat exchangers, Heaters, Boilers
Familiar with piping plans and able to read P&IDs.
Familiar with layout, sketching, fab, welding, insulating and installing of structural and piping systems.
Perform PM’s and equipment inspections, recording and reporting observations.
Maintain Spare parts inventory and submit order requests as needed to maintain minimum stock levels.
Record repairs and maintenance performed.
Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery, equipment and associated piping.
Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using testing devices.
Adhere to all corporate policies and standards.
