About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for conducting his/her work in a safe manner at all times. The Maintenance Mechanic is required to become proficient in and be expected to lead rotating equipment troubleshooting and repair in an industrial/refinery setting.

Requirements

  • Repair and maintain equipment in an industrial/refinery setting
  • Able to troubleshoot mechanical problems
  • Able to work independently
  • Safe working experience
  • Certified pipe welder
  • Strong Mathematical and Mechanically reasoning ability
  • The ability to work in team-based environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational training preferred
  • Experience in chemical processing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production and processing machinery and pipeline distribution systems.
  • Repairing Centrifugal Pumps, Positive Displacement Pumps, Reciprocal Compressors, Mechanical Seals, Heat exchangers, Heaters, Boilers
  • Familiar with piping plans and able to read P&IDs.
  • Familiar with layout, sketching, fab, welding, insulating and installing of structural and piping systems.
  • Perform PM’s and equipment inspections, recording and reporting observations.
  • Maintain Spare parts inventory and submit order requests as needed to maintain minimum stock levels.
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
  • Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  • Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
  • Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
  • Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery, equipment and associated piping.
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using testing devices.
  • Adhere to all corporate policies and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
