Position Overview The Maintenance Mechanic supports safe and reliable plant operations through preventive and corrective maintenance. Reporting to the Facility Engineer, this role maintains mechanical, electrical, and facility systems with minimal supervision. The position partners with production and quality teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five or more years of combined technical training and maintenance experience
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including basic PLC diagnostics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance systems
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Refrigeration certification or equivalent technical credential
  • Experience with CMMS and preventive or predictive maintenance programs
  • Machining, pipefitting, or PLC programming and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely at heights

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout requirements
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Maintain HVAC, plumbing, pumps, mixers, and production systems
  • Use the CMMS to plan and complete preventive maintenance tasks
  • Complete accurate maintenance, repair, and purchasing documentation
  • Operate forklifts and lifts after required training and certification
  • Install new or upgraded equipment within defined skill scope
  • Train and support maintenance mechanics and helpers as assigned
