About The Position

Makes periodic inspections of and maintains all equipment associated with supplying safety lighting, plumbing, heating and ventilation, air conditioning, control systems and any other system for which responsible. This role involves making checks of all mechanical area equipment and logging them, handling maintenance calls from the main office, and maintaining required records. The position also includes combined responsibilities of testing and running emergency generators along with electricians, and performing other related duties as assigned. The Maintenance Mechanic will maintain and repair distribution systems involving vacuum, medical air, medical gas systems, and air compressors. They will also maintain and repair pneumatic equipment in engine rooms such as hot water convertors, thermostats, induction units, sump pumps, and all associated piping. Minor electrical work, such as disconnecting motor leads, resetting breakers, and replacing lights, is also part of the duties. Additionally, the role involves changing air filters in large air handling equipment, cleaning, and painting in mechanical areas. Minor plumbing repairs include fixing existing fixtures, clearing stoppages, and stopping leaks. Responsibilities extend to condenser cleaning on chillers and maintenance on water towers, as well as cleaning air handling unit coils.

Requirements

  • High School or GED required.
  • Three (3) years of experience with technical school
  • Four (4) years of experience without technical school

  • Minor plumbing repairs: repair of an existing plumbing fixture which includes valves, washers, “O” rings, etc., clearance of stoppages, stoppage of leaks.
  • Condenser cleaning on chillers, and cleaning and maintenance on water towers.
  • Cleaning of air handling unit coils.
