About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic performs all-around maintenance work on a variety of systems and pieces of equipment to ensure proper operating functions of machinery. The successful candidates will have an acceptable score on the maintenance questionnaire.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to operate a pallet jack required
• Basic math skills, including measurement conversion capabilities.
• Safety shoes, safety glasses, and flame-retardant uniforms or lab coats are required in production areas.
• Respirators and ear plugs are required for specific production processes.

Nice To Haves

• additional relevant training preferred
• Two years’ experience in the manufacturing/chemical industry.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Computer literacy is strongly preferred.
• Ability to follow and provide instructions positively and effectively.
• Forklift driving certification preferred
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
• Clean and organized work habits; ability to handle large volumes of powder and raw materials.

Responsibilities

• Ability to provide maintenance and repair on several types of building systems such as pipefitting, basic electrical, HVAC, etc.
• Ability to repair machines and equipment involving parts replacement and trouble shooting.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment.
• Maintain company property to include work on buildings and grounds including snow removal.
• Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
