The Maintenance Mechanic will be part of a collaborative, safety-focused, high-performing team, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of critical processes.

Requirements

Experience performing industrial mechanical maintenance and repair activities on rotating and stationary equipment.
Working knowledge of pumps, compressors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, valves, bearings, and piping systems.
Ability to read and interpret equipment specifications, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
Experience using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, welding equipment, and mechanical shop machinery.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Ability to safely perform rigging, lifting, and equipment installation activities.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer applications.
Commitment to safety, including lockout/tagout practices and use of personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights.

Nice To Haves

Experience in chemical, manufacturing, industrial processing, or related production environments.
Experience with laser alignment, precision measurement, and predictive maintenance techniques.
Certification or formal training in welding, millwright, pipefitting, or a related mechanical trade.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of pumps, compressors, valves, motors, piping, turbines, and other mechanical equipment.
Diagnose equipment issues using technical documentation, specifications, and manufacturer literature to restore safe and efficient operation.
Conduct preventive maintenance activities including lubrication, filter replacement, gasket installation, and mechanical seal repair.
Align rotating equipment using precision instruments such as dial indicators and laser alignment tools.
Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, rigging, and metalworking activities to support maintenance and improvement projects.
Execute lockout/tagout procedures and verify equipment is safely isolated prior to maintenance work.
Utilize computerized maintenance systems to document work, order materials, and review equipment history.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and engineers to ensure work is completed safely and effectively.
Support a culture of safety while mentoring and guiding less-experienced maintenance personnel.
