About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting and identifying equipment or machines in need of repairs. This role involves troubleshooting issues, planning repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals, and performing routine maintenance on building systems. The position also includes cleaning and assisting with facility upkeep, ordering necessary supplies and materials, and performing other related duties as assigned. A key aspect of this role is communicating any concerns or issues related to personal and facility safety, seeking continuous improvement of processes, and understanding contributions to the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS). The ideal candidate will be willing to work in a team environment, maintain a positive attitude and punctuality, and be aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, and contributions to product conformance, safety, and ethics.

Requirements

  • 5 years of prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, equipment and repairs.
  • General maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling (HVAC), and other building systems.
  • Experience working with hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work on their feet and lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems.

  • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
