About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-speed production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role supports both preventive and corrective maintenance activities and works closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2–4 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Proven troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-speed manufacturing, packaging, or metal container production environments
  • Technical training or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • OSHA, forklift, or other relevant safety certifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components
  • Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective repair solutions
  • Assist with equipment installations, rebuilds, upgrades, and modifications
  • Support machine setups, adjustments, and production changeovers
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to improve equipment reliability
  • Accurately document inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring issues
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives
  • Follow OSHA, GMP, and company safety policies and procedures
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements during maintenance activities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Promote a culture of safety throughout the facility
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve equipment issues
  • Communicate equipment status, repair progress, and maintenance needs effectively
  • Assist with spare parts inventory management and report inventory shortages
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency
