Join our amazing production team in St. Charles, IL. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance mechanic for our 2nd Shift production team. In this role, you will perform scheduled preventive maintenance and audits. You will also perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures, make recommendations on repair strategies and priorities, and assist Operators with minor maintenance issues to consistently obtain the standard operating efficiency of the system and minimize safety, quality, and downtime risks. You will troubleshoot the equipment by having the ability to resolve routine issues without additional support, conduct rebuilds on equipment, and maintain records of repairs, calibrations, tests, and standard setting processes. Additionally, you will identify and evaluate improvement activities resulting in quantifiable increased results, review, interpret, and understand performance data that will enable you to identify and implement performance improvement activities, assist with facilities maintenance and other duties as assigned, and lead and/or assist with local Engineering upgrades and projects. You will be responsible for training and supporting new and existing team members. You will perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures. You will repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, bindery equipment etc. using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments. You may repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders or other machine shop equipment.
